Welcome to the Savage Aim wiki!

### About The Wiki

Here we aim to have a collection of information to help with any questions you may have about using Savage Aim! <https://savageaim.com>

The system is open source and you can report issues or view the whole code at <https://github.com/SavageAim/app>

There is also a Discord server where you can chat, report bugs or make feature requests! <https://discord.gg/k8szJ5qAKw>

For the most part, you can follow the sidebar on the left like a guide to setting yourself up fully. Otherwise you can search at the top or through the sidebar for specifics if that's all you need!

### About Savage Aim

Savage Aim is a Best in Slot (BiS) gear tracker for FFXIV Savage players and statics. It aims to provide a clear and helpful indication of how people are progressing towards their Best in Slot for a given raid tier for any of their jobs.

It was written in time for Pandaemonium Asphodelos, and it will be kept up to date with future gear releases and raid tiers for the foreseeable future.

# User Settings

Change some settings on the site!

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fkt7w3iF1lj4cLM0AbGqH%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5d155f04-dc07-42a2-aa14-2de6fac3a95f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The User Settings page allows control over certain User specific details on the site. The different sections are outlined below.

{% hint style="info" %}
Any tab with unsaved changes will have their name marked with an asterisk (**\***).
{% endhint %}

## User Details

The User Details tab allows you to edit your username, but it's left open to extend to more if people have any ideas!

### API Key

In an effort to extend the functionality of the site to be open to external features (did someone say Dalamud Plugin?), we now support users creating an API Key. This API Key can be used to interact with the API as a User.&#x20;

Clicking the "Generate API Key" button will replace the button with a display that looks like this;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FF17RXxOHHTgOdSTU5Q6l%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=eeb1e0b1-965f-461d-8283-bd2aa788e254" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If anyone wants to create any extra tool/suite/etc to use/extend the SavageAim API, the API Key should be passed as `Authorization: Token <api_key>` in the headers of HTTP Requests.\
\
Also if you do end up making something with this, feel free to post it in the Discord and we can also feature it somewhere!
{% endhint %}

## Colour Scheme

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F7xoGu1aIK27fzrk957GK%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a5c0e6cd-9c0d-40a1-82be-fbc0b948cf3e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This setting is used to control the colours used on the [Team Overview](/teams/team-overview#character-cards). The dropdown at the top provides a list of the themes currently supported in the system. The choice is rendered in the table below, as a method of indicating what the chosen theme looks like.

{% hint style="info" %}
Only this table updates live, to update other tables you will need to save first.
{% endhint %}

If you want to submit your own colour scheme suggestion, something can be organised, but throw up an issue on the Github Repo if you can! One helpful tool I like to use is <https://vis4.net/palettes/#>, using 7 colours!

{% hint style="info" %}
The "Explanation of Colours" card below is an expandable card that gives the new explanation of what the colours mean. This used to be accessible as a popup in the navbar, but it was moved here to clean up clutter.
{% endhint %}

## Notifications

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FF5IOxO9xGbVORE3jEuc2%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=e34341da-60e4-4fb7-a117-3a3ec3df0b09)

This panel controls the Notifications you will receive in the system. Individual types of Notifications can be turned off and on as required, so you have full control over what types of events you will be informed of.

{% hint style="info" %}
For full details on the Notifications in the system, check [Notifications](/notifications)!
{% endhint %}

## Loot Manager Version

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fh2rfm7mXy3MC4C5LmxKY%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=59bb5628-1229-49cd-88c3-9d940b7dada1)

This page allows you to pick between the Per Item Loot Manager ([Loot Manager](/teams/loot-manager)) or the new Per Fight Loot Manager ([Per Fight Loot Manager](/teams/per-fight-loot-manager)).&#x20;

## Loot Solver Settings

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FE4rD3XrhsQWdvahwA617%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=e5cce7b9-da32-4388-a825-226532889f15" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This section allows you to change settings related to the [Loot Solver](/teams/loot-solver). Currently the only setting you can edit is its greediness.

The Loot Solver running in Greed-y mode will make it so it stops assigning items as soon as everyone can buy their last remaining augment token (or item in the case of the first floor). This allows you to start assigning items for alternative BIS Lists slightly faster.

It is freely toggleable, and will not break your current Loot Solver predictions to turn it on / off as you see fit!

# Notifications

Reference page for all of the notifications Savage Aim can provide.

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FVI9FTM5FheuU00bJsniF%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=d17a572a-98f4-41d4-b6a2-31671595b50f)

The Notifications panel, as outlined above, allows you to receive updates about things that happen in the system outside of your control. This panel will only ever load the latest 20 Notifications you have received.

Clicking or tapping on any of the Notifications will navigate you to the page related to the Notification, and will also mark the notification as read. Read Notifications will lose the blue border, and the bell icon next to them will no longer be ringing, as seen in this image. ![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FQ94H7SM8m0ddp6RajzCm%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=8bec3d6e-44f8-4d52-9ea9-c578e05ce0e2)

Types of Notifications can be individually disabled in the [User Settings](/user-settings#notifications) page. Please note that this will only stop future Notifications of that type, all existing ones will remain.

Clicking the "Mark All As Read" button will do exactly that, marking all your current Notifications as read, without needing to open them all individually.

Clicking the "View All Notifications" page will take you to a separate page that contains every Notification you have received. This is just to allow the User to see all their Notifications, without holding up the running of the main site with trying to load them when they just need to use the main pages.

## Unread Badge

Desktop View -![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FAGa9G67FPurCC2h5cFxe%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=366f947e-6413-4ec4-8d2b-e9f437dd6a96)\
Mobile View -![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FVV7tRy3SROb3FVsjkn2d%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=2231bc62-fce6-4b87-af33-f028dbfc2d56)

In the Navigation Bar, as shown above, there is an unread badge in both Desktop and Mobile views that indicates how many unread notifications you have. This is just to help bring it to your attention whenever new Notifications arrive.

## Notifications Page

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FDlUTOZ4w60qjecREwpxr%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=dd017e1f-cdca-49ed-b89b-5013c8ed1e12)

For consistency's sake, this is just a larger version of the Notifications popup. This page can list more than the 20 limit contained in the popup version.

Everything works here like it does in the popup as detailed above!

# Quick-Switcher

A feature I really like on Discord, reimplemented here for ease of navigation.

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FzAxxbtiFpU1mHEvQW8rE%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=3fb5097f-01bb-41ea-bc84-1536f4c76341" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

A simple window that allows you to search for pages and move around the website faster. Accessible via `Ctrl`+`K` keybinds on desktop, or the following navigation buttons on all platforms;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fx29HSjLsETL8FpefcdNk%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0340e401-14d2-4976-9dab-db300ad44a91" alt=""><figcaption><p>Desktop Variant</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F5u1eQltuWxqEuLdsXkKq%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9fac463d-bb85-455b-8e17-aa14ba6eeb5b" alt=""><figcaption><p>Mobile Variant</p></figcaption></figure>

By typing in the given search box (which is automatically focused when opening the window), the list of pages will be expanded and filtered.&#x20;

When there is no search term, the box will display all of your Characters and Teams, but searching allows you to filter through individual BIS Lists and the different Team pages you have access to as well.

Please note the switcher will only display 5 filtered items, like so;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fpgh2qkQRk1j11MLmKAJc%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=c979fefb-0da3-46ba-a669-9dbb8d6417f9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

On Desktop devices, the arrow keys can be used to move the selection (the blue text) up and down to your desired link, and pressing Enter will close the dialog and take you to the chosen page.

Alternatively, on all platforms, all of the displayed links can be clicked/tapped to do the same.

# Importing Characters

All the details about getting your characters set up.

## Initial View

When you log in to Savage Aim for the first time, the home screen should look something like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FnarWB8aRHjvKSwAp8zqo%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=411ef26b-59a1-4925-9b62-fcd4fcde3762)

For the purposes of this document, we will be focusing on the Character section on the right. To begin importing your first Character, click the green "Add New" button below the "Your Characters" section.

## Add A Character

Clicking on the button will take you to this page;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F5XfFm0GPc34OuTo9a8z1%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=cd5aa1cf-0031-4ee1-95d7-e53990d18c69)

Savage Aim uses the Lodestone for getting information about Characters, so we need to provide a URL for it to pull data from. Begin by finding the page for your Character using the Lodestone Character Search: <https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/>

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please note that the URL should end like `/lodestone/character/22909725/` and not `/lodestone/my/`
{% endhint %}

If all goes well, after you click import you should be taken to your Character page! If any error occurs with the import, a red box and red text will appear with the details. If this isn't something you can do anything about, please report it to the team!

When your Character is imported from Lodestone, you will be redirected to a page that looks like this;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FxT2TtDVtbOMuxhdfXTVR%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f6ea8de3-c9a5-47a7-9c4c-b22e601ce59e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The site is now fully useable with this Character, despite the warning messages! To ensure you don't lose data, it is encouraged you continue with verifying your Character, but you have 7 days from creation to do so!

For a full breakdown of what this page can display, check the [Character Details](/characters/character-details) page!

## Verifying Your Character

{% hint style="info" %}
When you first import a Character, it will be unverified. SavageAim will want to ensure that people are signing up with their own Characters.

However, in the interest of streamlining the new User process; Characters that aren't verified can still use the system as normal for 7 days.

If a Character has not been verified in 7 days after it's made, it will be deleted.
{% endhint %}

The amber box contains a message indicating that your character is unverified. Below the gray line is some text in blue, and a button. The text in blue is your verification code, which you will need to add to your Lodestone profile to ensure us that the Character is owned by the person that says they own it!

Copy the full code in the black box, and then visit <https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/my/setting/profile/> (there is a link to this page in the verification message also, where it says \<u>this page\</u>). In the box, enter the verification code like so;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FAriOsZZCrxkyCHhwuMAG%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=8ec3ecaf-3a29-45a8-a134-9c2dd732c26a)

Then click Confirm, and on the next page, click Confirm again. Once your Character's Lodestone profile has been updated, you can return to the Savage Aim page and click the Request Verification button. If all is well you should see a green popup stating that the request was successful.&#x20;

After the verification has succeeded, the amber message box, along with the warning sign, will have disappeared. This indicates your Character is now safe from automated deletion!

# Character Details

Breakdown of the Character Details page

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F6H41FDLyMc94ZJGIsOzr%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=075a148e-60de-4e23-88c8-0f76bc26a243)![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fyt7YaZQx8xBqpGSVXyxQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=0039b776-f2d7-42c6-bb32-e24391f2a57e)

## Character Bio

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FEuW6sYMkxQz8L3KXoFhr%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=827ba08d-c41f-45a6-9c5c-5e60aa7cba6d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

At the top left of the page is the Character Bio. It shows some information about the Character whose page you are currently on; their avatar from the Lodestone, name and world information.

This information is not editable due to how Characters are imported.

At the bottom is a pair of buttons that allow for you to update and delete the Character.

### Re-Import

Since players can change their Character's names, and move them to other homeworlds, it makes sense to have a button that can refresh this information from the Lodestone and update SavageAim.

Clicking the "Update" button here will load data from XIVAPI for the Character using the Lodestone ID that is stored when Characters are created.&#x20;

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please note that due to any potential caching that Lodestone and/or XIVAPI may have for Character data, the updates may take up to 24 hours to work on SavageAim.
{% endhint %}

### Deletion

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fw2ELhIKan1FfNabbpG2U%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=b8678dfc-9ca0-467a-bf8e-92a59f2ad0ac)

Due to all the information being linked to the Character entry, deletion of Characters provides a detailed prompt like shown.

The popup provides a list of items that will happen when a Character is deleted, and a text box in which you must type the name of the Character to confirm you are happy with their deletion.

#### Results of Deletion

* Character will leave Teams it is not the Leader of.
* Character will disband Teams it leads with only one Character in them.
* Character will pass Team Leadership to another Character in Teams they lead with multiple Characters.
* All BIS Lists belonging to the Character will be deleted.

## Navigation

Below the Character Bio card is a small card that allows for switching between sections of the Character page.

If any extra sections can be added to the Character page, they will be added to the Navigation just like BIS Lists and Teams.

Only displaying one section at a time allows the page to display a lot more detail than it could when it was displaying everything at once!

## BIS Lists

The BIS Lists section shows all of the Character's BIS Lists, in the same format as they are displayed on the [Team Overview](/teams/team-overview) page.

The major difference between the displays on the Team and Character pages is as follows;

On the Team page, colours are generated using the max item level of the Tier the Team is currently in.&#x20;

On the Character page, because there is no link between BIS Lists and a Tier, the colours are generated using the item level of the Gear in the BIS Mainhand slot. Typically, this will be the raid weapon so it will correspond with a Tier's maximum item level anyway, but it is worth keeping in mind in case your BIS weapon is not the one that drops from the raid.

{% hint style="info" %}
For safety and less confusion, the cards on the Character page contain a message stating the item level they use to generate the colours beneath the table.
{% endhint %}

To edit an existing BIS List, click the "Edit" link at the bottom of the corresponding card. To create a new BIS List, click the purple "Add New" button above the lists.

### Deletion

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F9CiKwUMBRVWRoDLeHcDK%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=7dbb0776-6a73-4451-bffb-bf06dc53874d)![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fu11cR0OFAa9uKE72e0Ou%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=4a982e61-e686-4a72-b222-195e75d23474)

Deleting a BIS List will permanently remove it from the Character. To Delete a BIS List simply click the "Delete" button below the card. Clicking this button will cause a popup like the above images to appear.

If the chosen BIS List is in use in a Team, it won't be eligible for deletion until you either change the BIS List you're using, or leave the Team entirely.

If there are Teams the BIS List is in use in, the "Change" link will take you directly to the Team Member management page for you to change Character and/or BIS List used in the Team.

If the BIS List is not in use, it is safe to delete, like the Paladin example to the right.

## Teams

The Teams section shows all of the Teams the Character is a part of, in a similar format to how they are displayed on the Home page. There are four sections of note to how each Team is displayed.

The dark box around each Team is a link, and clicking anywhere on the dark box will take you to that Team's page.

The blue P icon to the left indicates that the Character is a regular Member of the Team. If they were instead the Team Leader, the icon displayed would be ![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FeoHiQXJdXo990PgCAo9q%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=675cab18-366d-41aa-986b-f59a8d91cc00) instead.

To the right of the icon, is the name of the Team. Below that is the name of the Tier the Team is currently working on.

At the bottom of the box, there is a set of Job icons. This is a list of icons of all the jobs of the Characters on the Team.

On mobile, only the name of the Team and its Tier are displayed.

## Settings

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FpVPGrrJ5ZavcR18cnmGH%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=fb98b4a7-2e82-4596-b624-74e1a4f2b01d)

Characters now have aliases, which is a name you can specify yourself to refer to the Character separately. The settings tab allows you to change your aliases.

If set, aliases are displayed in the Character Bio card alongside the Character Name and Home World, and will be used in Team pages instead of the Character / World pattern currently in use, just like in the following image;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FidG0dz7y8dmXyE38nXzD%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=1d2a7202-f1ca-4aa1-a004-209080b5e928)

# BIS Lists

All about the management of BIS Lists for Characters

## Tracking Gear

Once you have your Characters imported and set up, we can begin to track the Gear they have versus the Gear they need. To do so, we can create a new BIS List.&#x20;

After importing and verifying a Character, we should be on a page like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FKl4E8VgZAVWFhuPL2smh%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=894b9835-44f5-4798-bc73-5b2f794d88c8)

To add a new BIS List, click the purple "Add New" button to the right of the BIS Lists box.

## Make a New List

You should have ended up on a page that looks something like this;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fs3LivtRr53eHa3AIBdmk%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=076c8b28-ef4c-49ef-8b35-363ca673e012" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The form in its current state is quite large, and split into 5 sections; Details, BIS Gear, and Current Gear, which are the details required and maintained, and then a Filters section, which allows for filtering the gear in the dropdowns by a range of item levels. Lastly there is a small section with a couple of Create / Save buttons.

On mobile, the form is split into tabs, and should look something like the below picture when you first load in. The tabs on mobile correspond with the sections above, but keep the mobile UI easier to use!![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F15z6W3mlQGAF4xmSFgQs%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=78048117-d13b-497d-bf75-64485e88aad6)

The Actions section will be displayed below each tab for ease of use.

### Details

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fe2qwqhgJBqgvaOHhU7LV%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=407fb0c1-5d27-46cc-9b4b-d47aba74a95a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In the Details section, you can pick the Job associated with the list, and optionally add a URL and a name.&#x20;

#### Name

An optional name for the BIS List. This will be used in places to potentially differentiate between different BIS Lists for the same job.

Names are used in the [Character Details](/characters/character-details) page, as well as the [Create A Team](/teams/create-a-team#bis-list) part of the Join Team, Create Team, or Edit Team Membership pages.

#### Job

The Job for which the BIS List is for. Used to display Job icons in various places and also to determine whether Offhand should be tracked separately for Paladins.

#### URL

A URL to any site you want. A link will be displayed under BIS List cards to this website, and is handy to have for easy access to sites like Etro where materia information is stored alongside gear.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you insert an Etro Gearset URL, you will be able to import the BIS Gear straight into Savage Aim as well! See [#import](#import "mention") for more details.
{% endhint %}

### BIS Gear

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FQw2jrvy4cigEP7vEFGHC%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=ccfc979e-c5c9-40b0-8466-07e0f787c659" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This section of dropdowns allows you to pick the Best in Slot gear for the List. The options in the dropdowns are the various types of Gear you can acquire, filtered for what can be equipped in that slot.

{% hint style="info" %}
For any job other than Paladin, the "Off Hand" option will not be available to choose. This is because only Paladin currently has the option to have different types of item in the main and off hand slots.
{% endhint %}

#### Import from Etro

The "Import from Etro" button located at the bottom of the card is how you can import your BIS data from the link you provide in [#url](#url "mention"). If a valid <https://etro.gg> link is present in this input, the button will instead look like below, and clicking it will attempt to run an import against the given URL.

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fo00er8iCyYCsCnEny6vn%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5c698e55-80f1-4f5f-b541-04d5ea5e7f99" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please note that due to the fact Etro stores each individual item, and Savage Aim sticks to using general names for all classes, the import feature may not be 100% perfect every time.

The import system will find the most similar Gear name in the database for each item, and sometimes this algorithm may find closer names than expected.

If this happens, please let me know by visiting the Discord!
{% endhint %}

#### Import from XIVGear

Similarly to the above, SavageAim also supports importing gearsets from XIVGear.app. if a valid <https://xivgear.app> URL is provided, then the button will change to the following;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FQamMApzwhLfNpO1Ixbo6%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a07c93e3-a676-47ec-a012-3c0b595cc236" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Unlike Etro, XIVGear provides the ability to store multiple sets per sheet, and generate a URL that contains multiple sets. When a URL like this is used, the page will prompt you with a popup to decide which one to select. Clicking on one of the names will import that set.

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FWr6mm7sKGxnJpxRRrPxV%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=daf9ec6c-80c3-4e4a-acce-b073d6c1e6d8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please ensure to select either "Link to Whole Sheet" or "One Link for Each Set" when exporting from XIVGear to import into SavageAim!
{% endhint %}

### Current Gear

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FI4ReCuPxlkFWhI1ONt2r%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a429e734-cff7-4aac-a112-a6b80588447c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This section is exactly the same as the BIS Gear section, but instead represents the gear you currently have on the Job. This information will be important for the Team pages later.

#### Import from Lodestone

This button will attempt to import whatever gear is currently equipped to your character as per their Lodestone page, and set the values of your "Current" gear to whatever it finds.

It will only work if the gear worn by your character as per the Lodestone is equippable by the Job that the BIS is currently set to. If it is not, it will give an error message instead of changing the Job for the list.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Also note that similar to Etro imports, there is a level of name matching that may not always be 100% accurate!
{% endhint %}

#### Copy from Other List

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F1WnzBryIT270qzglJyLZ%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=00ff014b-6abb-43ab-8b19-6a3b90b3e8d6)

Finally, this button allows you to populate the Current Gear section of the current BIS List with the Current Gear of a chosen other BIS List with the same Job.

Clicking one of the boxes in this popup will load the Current Gear from that BIS List into this one.

If there are no other BIS Lists for the chosen Job, the button will be white and unclickable instead.

### Filters

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FaeG9VkN5wHdrUiFXti7n%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=9d531026-ee25-4cb2-b07d-af6925669561)

This provides a simple way of narrowing down the options for Gear choices to a range of item levels. Whenever new raid tiers are added, the default options will be changed to the range of that tier, but you can change these to a range of values starting from 560.

### Create / Save Buttons

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fj4KpjP2hsnkx47GUk9Wr%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=96a585fa-6f7d-46be-922a-40a7a196767b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

There are two buttons that can be used to Create / Save BIS Lists. The top is just a simple Create / Save button which will Create a new BIS List, or Save the changes you made to an existing one.

#### Create / Save & Sync Current Gear

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F4UAUrMjiKIRudyjjWHWX%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=c3becc63-9cc5-4208-8145-3fef5dd5ae87)

When pressed, this button will display a popup like the one above. This allows you to select other BIS Lists for the same job that, when you click the "Create / Save and Sync" button, will have their Current Gear set to be the same as the BIS List you are currently creating / updating.

If you have no other BIS Lists for the chosen Job, then this button will instead be black and will not do anything when pressed.

## Editing an Existing List

After clicking the create button when making a new list, or clicking one of your lists on the Character page, you will be taken to a similar page to before. However, there will be the data that you input previously already populating the inputs.

Also, the button at the bottom will say Save instead of Create, and the breadcrumb trail at the top will state the name of the Job the List is for, instead of saying "New BIS List".

## Quick Set to BIS

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FIfZcCZnmo3O7y0yqlwfq%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=db0bd09d-b94d-49df-8721-8d68d58ba09e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In situations where you have non-BIS Current Gear, and you want to quickly update your item to BIS without having to go through a whole dropdown to get there, we've added a new button on the Current side to quickly update your Current item for the slot to be BIS.

The button will appear in any circumstance where the Current item for a slot does not match the BIS item.

## Character Page Display

If you return to your character's page, you will see that your lists have been added to the BIS List box, and should look something like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F6sgeh2LjhfECovE8bA8X%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=ec8f0c56-aeab-4fa5-baed-3de78b2420b1)

A full breakdown and explanation of this page is available on the next page!

# Create A Team

Going through the process of creating a team from scratch.

Now that you have hopefully set up at least one Character and one BIS List for them, you can start interacting with the Teams side of the app.&#x20;

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you are joining somebody else's Team, please check the [Join A Team](/teams/join-a-team) page instead.
{% endhint %}

Returning to the home page, it should now hopefully look something like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FvpCf8ndO2M5AQb4npMEa%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=3e9ff40a-bba3-4902-b1ae-3c1efd2b3110)

{% hint style="warning" %}
If there are no Characters found, or your Character has a warning sign next to their name, please check the [Characters](/characters/importing-characters) page.
{% endhint %}

If all is well, we can proceed with making your first Team.

## Add New Team

Clicking the "Add New" button below the "Your Teams" box should take you to a page that looks like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F938hIVdVhq7v8IaQpL1a%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=17e719e6-3b33-41c3-8294-047952b9ccaa)

For the purposes of this page, we will be ignoring the section at the bottom, and will instead click the "Create New Team" button at the top of the page, which should then take you to a page that looks like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FkVfz1kV57O3FOb9eS9Ee%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=f7bb9bb0-6aa0-4a79-b337-a5432e8df259)

This page has four required inputs, as detailed below. Everything can be changed by you later, so don't worry if you aren't happy with your choices later!

### Team Name

This one is simple, just insert the name of the Team. It is up to you and can be up to 64 characters long.

### Tier

Select the Tier that the Team is currently involved with.

The Tier information is used to colour the tables in the [Team Overview](/teams/team-overview) page, and also the History in the [Loot Manager](/teams/loot-manager) page is saved on a Tier by Tier basis.

### Character

Select the Character you wish to have in the Team. Because you are the one creating the Team, this Character will be set to the Team's leader, though this can be changed later. Once you pick a Character, the BIS List input will be populated with the Lists belonging to your chosen Character.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can only have each Character be in a Team once, but there is nothing stopping you adding your alt Characters to the same Team to fill different roles as needed.&#x20;

Teams do not have a cap on the number of Characters they can have in them.

Similarly, there is no limit to how many Teams one of your Characters can be a part of either.
{% endhint %}

#### If you have no Characters

If you attempt to Create a new Team without having any Characters associated with your account, you'll see a message like this instead;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FkimD6tq2PB4gEjnCn48g%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=3ea9ed08-41e0-4f0a-a72c-87fc4a8b3f19" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Filling out the two inputs with valid URLs will automatically create a Character and BIS List, then use those to create the Team!

### BIS List

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FXbbm153SN3U1zSSwqbGx%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=66b1bca3-bf2d-4cf7-8f9d-7a2221b69452)

Selecting a BIS List allows you to indicate the role that your Character is playing in the Team. Once you have selected a Character, a "Add New" button will also appear, which you can click to be given a popup version of the BIS List form. This will allow you to add a new BIS List without leaving the page.&#x20;

When you finish and close the popup, the BIS dropdown will refresh to include your newly created BIS List.&#x20;

### Create

Once you're happy with your choices, you can click the Create link at the bottom of the card. If all is well, you will receive a green notification and be redirected to your new [Team Overview](/teams/team-overview) page. If not, appropriate inputs will be marked in red and have text displayed indicating the issues that were found.

# Join A Team

Join a Team created by someone else!

If instead you are joining someone else's team, you will need to receive either an **invite code** or **invite link** from the Team's Leader.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
If you're a Team Leader and you're trying to find where to get these, please check [Team Settings](/teams/team-settings#invite-code).
{% endhint %}

## Join Via Code

If you're joining via a code, you have a couple of extra steps to do over joining via a URL, which are outlined here!

### Add New Team

Starting from the Home page, click the "Add New" button under "Your Teams". You should be on this page;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F2ZZJ6VmxEokWLS0zaJRx%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=7652c493-4aa0-4ca9-b329-29bb20cc8cb7)

Insert the code you were given in the box below, and click the "Join" button. If the code is correct, you should be taken to the same page as the **invite link** would have taken you, so we can continue the guide below.

## Joining The Team

Once you have arrived on a page like this, either by following the code step above or by following your given **invite link**, you will be able to join the Team.

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FHqHDAc4sP0JeElcTPk7B%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b70009bd-3844-49e3-ba7e-e0a56df2af1a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The box above shows the current details of the Team you are joining. You can see the name and tier and, if you're on a large screen device, you can also see the icons of the Jobs that the Characters already in the Team are playing. The names of the Characters on each Job are available by hovering over them.

The two boxes below provide the different methods for joining an existing Team, which are both outlined below;

### Join using an existing Character

The card on the bottom left of the page provides a small form with which you can select one of your Characters and one of their BIS Lists and have them join the Team.

When you select a Character, the BIS List dropdown will become active and populated with the lists belonging to the Character you selected, like so;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FnRHLrBcbLJnbRbsckxfP%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=21e1cb8c-2e66-4eca-9f77-3da25c7e3750)

The "Add New" button on the right opens a popup if you need to add a BIS List to the chosen Character without leaving the page, perfect for when you are joining a Team with a completely new Character.

#### If you have no Characters

A completely normal situation for the site is something like this;

* You create a Team on Savage Aim for your static, and send the invite link to the others.
* They arrive on the Join page having just made their account, and have no Characters made yet.
* Your Team has no Proxies made for them to claim.

When this happens, the page will display a different form, with a message!

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fs9BhmsjmQ8AhQ3W4rfBp%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=1284317e-2a1d-4c4e-ace2-af133aa2445a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. Refers to Claiming a Proxy Character (see [#join-by-claiming-a-proxy-character](#join-by-claiming-a-proxy-character "mention"))
2. Provides a link to the New Character form. If you go there and make a new Character, returning to the Join page will show the [#join-using-an-existing-character](#join-using-an-existing-character "mention") form.
3. Provides two different form inputs, similar to [Create A Team](/teams/create-a-team#if-you-have-no-characters) on the Create page. If you fill out the boxes with your Character's Lodestone URL, and an Etro Gearset URL, then clicking Join will automatically create the Character and BIS for you, and then automatically have them join the Team!

### Join by claiming a Proxy Character

The card on the bottom right of the image contains all of the Proxy Characters the Team has currently. If a Team has no Proxy Characters, it will display a message like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FiEjrVdE1gaUCrBKlQMd7%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=edb129c0-e8d6-4ce7-b6f3-ba102d986df1)

If the Team does have a Proxy Character, that belongs to you, you can click on them to provide a popup like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FjSqimu9dDcjNA5i8tbFH%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=271d718a-7e40-4ae4-a387-f409a6eb0ccb)

Clicking the green "Claim Character" to confirm will create a copy of this Character in your account, and take you to their page in order to follow the verification process as outlined in [Importing Characters](/characters/importing-characters#verifying-your-character)

The one extra difference is, whenever a Character that is used as a Proxy in a Team is verified, they will absorb all the Proxy versions into the verified Character, which includes Team Membership and BIS Lists that were made and managed while they were a Proxy.

# Team Overview

The basic Team page, showing all Characters and their BIS List progression.

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FBlxhY5tGB0Qz1Rd9RqNw%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=217a76ab-55cd-4933-9848-b7971566954d)

{% hint style="info" %}
In the above image, I have joined the Team on an alt, just to show some different features.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

The Team Overview page is the main view of the Team. It shows all of the Characters in the Team, and all of their BIS List details.&#x20;

At the top of the page are blue buttons, which link to [Loot Manager](/teams/loot-manager), [Manage Members](/teams/manage-members), and [Team Settings](/teams/team-settings).&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Please note that the settings link will only appear if you are the current Team Leader.
{% endhint %}

## Character Cards

Each Character has a card with all of their details. In this section, all of the card's components will be broken down and explained.

The Characters are sorted by their Jobs, in the same order as FFXIV uses to list Jobs, so Tanks come first, then Healers, then Melee, Ranged Physical and finally Caster DPS. Characters with the same Job will be ordered by their names.

### Heading

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fm8Q16MCgnoBztSvOufhZ%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=1cd4e0df-760c-41f3-bf30-ea5a43521d9e)

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fqs6GPnrXjLKCOYvEkcgR%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=eebd4c99-60be-458c-94e0-ef2f27b6a130)

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F2vTOtLCPVrgvdAFff2aa%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=7cddfc1a-88bb-403f-828e-ce828cddab30)

The heading of the cards gives us a lot of information. On mobile a lot of the extraneous info is stripped out to maintain clarity however.

#### Team Leader / Member / Proxy Icons

On the far left side of the header, you can see icons taken from XIV. The P with an L beneath it indicates the Team Leader, and all other Team Members will just have the P icon with no L.

Proxy Characters are instead represented by the AFK red chair icon.

#### Character Name & World / Alias

Most of the time when Characters are displayed, they have the name and world displayed together. This is because Characters from different worlds can have the same names.

If Characters have an alias instead, it will instead display the alias of the Character. This was chosen since Team Members may have some air of familiarity and will know people by their alias.

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F2m5tHnUL7LFw716PCnWw%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=37fe1ebe-1ae3-4d39-8512-d81af04116be)

#### Item Level Tag

Similar to [BIS Lists](/characters/bis-lists#character-page-display), the card heading has a tag that shows the current item level of the Character, as well as their role using the colour of the tag.

#### Job Icon

At the right hand side is just the icon of the Job the Character is playing.

### Table

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FeFWt57EptIhCIhgDiA4r%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=2c2148ec-2af7-4058-b828-afcbfae63b9c)

The coloured table is the most important part of the card. In a glance it can tell you how someone is progressing towards getting their BIS.

{% hint style="info" %}
For Paladins, the top row will have 4 boxes, two for mainhand and two for offhand, similar to the rest of the table.&#x20;

All other jobs only have a Weapon so the table renders the top row with no offhand.
{% endhint %}

#### Text

The text in the coloured boxes indicates the **Best in Slot** item for that Character in that slot.

#### Colour

The colour of the boxes indicates the **item level of the gear currently equipped** in that slot.

#### Hover / Tap&#x20;

Hovering over (on PC) or tapping on (mobile / tablets) any of the coloured boxes displays the **name of the gear currently equipped** in that slot.

### Footer Actions

Along the bottom of the card, there will be some buttons to interact with the Character. On Mobile, there will be just an "Actions" button which opens up a dropdown showing the exact same actions.

This button allows Team Leaders to force update the Member's Current Gear from their Lodestone profile. Just in case any Members are forgetful :D

### Colour Scheme

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FFtj2RoGMSyTcCeB1rGla%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=1b71df80-f7ce-42d9-a6b4-c876aae20f87" alt=""><figcaption><p>FFLogs Colour Scheme</p></figcaption></figure>

The tables use colours to indicate the difference between the BIS Item for a slot (indicated by the text in the box) and the Current Item.&#x20;

When you choose a [User Settings](/user-settings#colour-scheme), the table displayed on the page indicates how the different Item Levels are displayed in colour.

The non-BIS colours are generated off of the Max Item Level for the Tier. For example, an Accessory with Item Level 650 in a Tier with Max Item Level of 665 would be rendered with the "Max IL - 15" colour, if it was not the correct item for the slot.

# Loot Manager

An in-depth look at the loot management and tracking system built into Savage Aim

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FyS4tppMvxKXEvmd6Pd20%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=d00f4535-ec6c-46b3-9311-48087edd203e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The Loot Manager is a semi-automated system of determining who needs what raid loot, and also a tracker of historical data for a Team throughout each Tier of their progress.

This page will go through each of the sections to the Loot Manager and explain how they work.

## What Item Dropped

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FgnJvn9V9U5bZ8x14LPyq%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=193243f3-7600-42ad-9817-90c62faf304b)

In the box at the top of the page is a single dropdown input. This input contains the names of all of the item slots that can have gear / items drop for them.

Picking an item from this list will trigger the Need and Greed sections to activate.

## Need

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fl3LmRIhwfKj6JGV9NACQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=dfb6d594-d794-486c-9683-b2c7ad897de0)

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FDxATvsi81XLtNtUI8l6c%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=01531f50-1684-4886-be8e-218f843bb611)

The Need box starts like the first image. When an item is selected in the What Item Dropped selection, it gets populated like the second image.

The Need box is populated as follows;

* Every Character in the team has their **linked BIS List** checked
* If a Character's BIS List needs the raid drop for the chosen slot, and does not currently have it, they are displayed here.

To get the second image, I selected "Body" from the Item drop. I can see that I appear in the list, meaning my main job needs the Body from raid.

### List Item Breakdown

Each item in the list will look like as displayed in the second image. A full description of what is displayed is as follows.

#### Character Name

As in other pages, this will display the name and home world of the Character.

#### Item Level Tag

Similarly to [Team Overview](/teams/team-overview#item-level-tag) on the Details page, a depiction of item level is displayed on the right side. However, instead of displaying the Character's current item level of their BIS List, this tag instead describes the current item level of **the currently equipped gear in the slot**.&#x20;

#### Job Icon

Also displays the Job icon here for consistency with the [Team Overview](/teams/team-overview#heading) of cards in the Details page.

#### Give Item

If the Team Leader is looking at the Loot Manager, they will also get this button.

Clicking this button will do two things.

1. Creates an entry in the Team's Loot History to keep track of who gets what.
2. Updates the Character's BIS List to set their current gear to be the raid item.

To avoid #2, you can also [#track-loot-manually](#track-loot-manually "mention").

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please note that for rings, the request will update whichever slot whose BIS is set to the raid gear. Please ensure that this doesn't mess with your current gear, i.e. overriding a tome ring instead of a crafted ring.

If your item level on Savage Aim doesn't match FFXIV, and you've recently received ring loot, then this could be why.
{% endhint %}

#### Hover / Tap

Also like the Team Details page, hovering or tapping the box displays the Current Gear tooltip.

#### Numbered Badge

In the above picture, there is a circular badge with a 0 in it. This indicates that the Character has received 0 pieces of Need loot so far this Tier. This makes round-robin style obtaining of loot (the style my own static uses) easier to calculate!&#x20;

Need entries will have light blue badges, and greed entries will have purple badges, to match the colours used for need/greed elsewhere on the page.

## Greed

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fz8qVBOZRqjBJ8rNGDVoD%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=f3a27852-2e1f-4536-b0b2-e182ce5319e9)

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FL8s9KVk3iv4DMjK1MXIR%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=ad0f4cbd-189c-4a63-99c5-57382ee30a04)

Similarly to the Need section above, the Greed section starts like the first image. When an item is selected, it becomes like the second picture.&#x20;

However, Greed is populated in a different way to Need.

* The system checks all of a Character's BIS Lists, **excluding the one linked to the Team**.
* If any of the Character's other BIS Lists need the raid gear for the chosen slot, they get displayed.
* However, if a Character has no lists that match the item, they will also be displayed for Quality of Life purposes, instead of requiring people to use the manual update.

Similar to Need, there will be one dark box per Character, with a purple badge indicating how much Greed loot has been obtained by them.&#x20;

However, due to Characters being able to have multiple BIS Lists that aren't associated with the Team, there is a second layer to the system for Greed lists. When giving loot to a Character with a Greed BIS List, the "Select BIS" button will take you to a popup that looks like this.

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FjBosalsGnIidVxUS7h5e%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0814a8a8-0a4a-4f8c-9fdf-f502703f8ec1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Clicking one of these lists will update them, just like the Need section. However, the Greed side also contains entries for Characters with no extra BIS Lists on the website. This just makes it easier to add History entries for them in case they also get Greed loot.

Lastly, the "Give Item to Character" button will just track the item in the History for the Character without giving it to one of their BIS Lists. For example, if someone takes a weapon drop from the 4th fight and it doesn't correspond with any of their BIS Lists, this button lets you track those drops easily.

## Tome Augmentation Items

In addition to tracking who needs what raid gear drops, the Loot Manager can also track how many augmentation tokens Characters need for both Tome Armour and Accessories. Due to the slight difference in what this information needs to display, the entries for Tome Augmentation items look slightly different that what is outlined in the above section.

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FtAaSR0Dx9DkafwsDaq1q%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=2095f38d-716b-4429-b3a8-c2fc52883642)![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FITgGan30V0jRkAAEpePv%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=cf5e092e-e583-4212-84cc-7ad539faffbc)

### Requires

The most important difference between Tome and Raid items in the Loot Manager is that Tome items are augmentation tokens, and normally Characters will need multiple to complete their BIS.

Instead of displaying a currently equipped item name in the tooltip, or the item level currently equipped in the tag (on desktop), when a Tome Augment item is selected both will instead indicate how many of the item are needed for each BIS List.

On Mobile view, the requires number is instead displayed as a dark blue badge to the left of each entry, and is still available in the tooltip when the entry is tapped on.

### Give Item

Due to the nature of the items in question, when passing out loot via the Loot Manager for Tome Augment tokens, we cannot automatically update the BIS in question. We cannot set a way to pick slots via the UI, nor do we want to tie Characters into knowing what piece of Gear they want to upgrade beforehand.

Due to these points, it has been decided to prevent Tome Augment tokens from automatically update anyone's BIS Lists. Instead, they will just be tracked like the other items, and will be entered into the Loot History table just the same as handing out raid items would be.

## Loot Solver

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fet86NLlREYmuGTT8wCtC%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=91d85105-b68f-4da5-8d0d-553df184c9f5" alt=""><figcaption><p>Loot Solver Desktop</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FXeCPIDNkAvCWbIQ9W0Wz%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=c99f93e6-068e-411f-85cc-23aec2ec753b" alt=""><figcaption><p>Loot Solver Mobile</p></figcaption></figure>

The Loot Solver is a new Beta feature that aims to get your Team through a fight in as few weeks as possible. It synergises with the [Per Fight Loot Manager](/teams/per-fight-loot-manager) but is useable with the standard Per-Item one as well.

For more info on how it works, please check [Loot Solver](/teams/loot-solver)

## Loot History

The Loot History box starts minimised, but clicking / tapping on it will expand it to display something like this.

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F2IkA7mHETfEswpW6JYrm%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=06aba422-ce25-490f-a37e-0a8b12be9ced)![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FgCwYxPN8kEMxhIvaFPba%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=43c9a218-e96a-4830-a44c-761daa7ba60f)

Each row in the table, or block in the mobile version to the right, indicates the date the item was obtained, the Character that received it, the Item that was received, and whether the item was obtained through Need or Greed.

{% hint style="info" %}
When you change to a new Tier, the History will be empty. This is because Loot History is tracked per Tier. To view your old Loot History, the Team Leader can change the Team's Tier back temporarily.
{% endhint %}

Using the "Give Item" button as the Team Leader will automatically fill in the Need/Greed text as appropriate. This button will also set the date obtained to the day you clicked the button, since the system assumes you use this button right as you get the items.

{% hint style="info" %}
This is how my static handles things. Maybe the Need/Greed differentiation is unnecessary for you but it doesn't affect anything whether a roll was Need or Greed.
{% endhint %}

However, there are some items that don't give raid gear, or aren't gear at all, or you forgot to track an item you obtained last week. If you want to track these, or you don't want to to use the "Give Item" buttons at all, there is another option.

### Track Loot Manually

At the bottom of the above images is a section containing inputs. Like the "Give Item" buttons, this row is only available to the Team Leader.

Using this extra form, it is possible to add arbitrary History records.

You can add items from the past, to any Character, and the Item dropdown contains more items than the "What Item Dropped" dropdown above. The extra items are;

* Tome Weapon Token
* Tome Weapon Augment
* Mount

Then you can click either Need or Greed to submit the request. If all is successful the item should appear in the list, otherwise red error text will be displayed next to whichever inputs are reporting errors.

### Deletion

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FGmInenGdkmsX3ImkITH9%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=8542b6ea-6a70-4473-b6d7-88eed6c831fa)

If necessary, the Team Leader may delete Loot History records. This feature has been provided in case an error is made when using the Loot Manager.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Please note that deleting an entry that also updated a Character's BIS List will not revert the changes to the BIS List. Please be careful using the Loot Manager automated functions.
{% endhint %}

In the above images, Desktop users (image on the left) may delete multiple entries at once, using the checkboxes and Delete button in the bottom table row.

Mobile users (image on the right) however must delete entries one at a time using the individual Delete buttons associated with each entry.

Both platforms will receive a confirmation popup that must be accepted before any deletion will occur.

# Per Fight Loot Manager

A new beta version of the Loot Manager that takes advantage of changes introduced in Pandaemonium: Anabaseios

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fo3fdwrZdvoWW08QTpaCz%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=95f4a80d-3de4-40c9-98b8-260fe96d15a0)

In Patch 6.4, changes were introduced that made every fight's loot consistent. We designed a new alternative version of the Loot Manager page that takes advantage of these changes.

Instead of a dropdown for an item, you are presented with a dropdown for a whole fight. Selecting an item in this dropdown updates the page to look like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FlkihZa1A72vENGGs27Zq%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=21570010-b5d8-4ace-a194-8395c5aa8bd5)

This works because every fight now consistently drops one of every possible item every time you kill it.

## Selecting Team Members

Each of the **Select a Team Member** boxes can be used to select a recipient just like in the original Loot Manager, and clicking on one presents a popup that looks like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FZfnefumhhAtx9t61ZU6P%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=7d1fce77-acff-4766-84e0-f2097bbf6428)![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FRASatcKfGVCbIyH8AttV%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=81023057-ed79-4e43-9db9-089d8f390c13)

There are Need and Greed tabs that show who needs the item for their main bis, and what alternative bis lists are in need of the item. To select a Need list, simply click or tap on the name.

To select a Greed list, you must first click or tap the name, which provides a dropdown like this;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FckcRZ1RIMuoJeWEuda28%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=926137fa-4e3b-45b4-997f-b1e61a513ef0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

As you can see, Character 2 has Greed Lists, which you can choose to give them and it will update the corresponding list when it is saved.&#x20;

Alternatively, you can just choose the Character by clicking the large "Give Item to Character" button to give the item to the Character without updating any lists.

## Viewing Chosen Members

When a Member is selected, the popup will close and the page will update to show some details about who was selected;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FRanWWsC5BeVRol7OsOiN%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=8fb98859-3473-4834-a557-e086cda5b1a3)

The blue / purple badges are the same as in [Loot Manager](/teams/loot-manager#numbered-badge) in the original loot manager, with blue indicating that the item was a need, and purple for a greed.

The red "Clear" button below allows you to remove an allocation.

## Editing a Selection

If instead you chose the wrong member for an item and need to change it, clicking the box will display the same popup as before with no changes!

## Saving

Clicking the big green "Save Loot Assignments" button will send all the updates in one go, and will work as if you had sent each request individually in the original Loot Manager.

## Issues

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please note that this version is currently in beta. All issues discovered should be reported either in the Discord server or as an issue on Github itself! Thank you!
{% endhint %}

# Loot Solver

In-depth explanation about the Loot Manager's "Solver" feature.

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FQFyiHbyenArLWMQ8aZ2J%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b81baf76-9972-48ba-97c2-55e3bf59d4d6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Loot Solver with the Per Fight Loot Manager</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please note this is a Beta feature that makes a few assumptions in order to work. Read this page for full information.
{% endhint %}

## How it Works

The Solver will parse your Team's required items and build a plan to hand out loot in a way that is as fair as possible while optimizing for minimum required weeks to be done with a fight.

As it is a Beta feature, it makes some assumptions, which will be listed below!

For any fight, if there are required kills remaining, you can see the forecasted Loot Distribution using the "See Distribution" button. This will display a pop-up that looks something like this;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FZbCaBtkkvVSVGbjd8F1P%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=8d3f9d6c-d1b6-48e9-9584-1edffebb8f58" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Any square marked "Greed" will be free for Greed rolls.

Clicking the "Auto Assign" button (only available if you're using the [Per Fight Loot Manager](/teams/per-fight-loot-manager)), you can have the Loot Manager automatically switch the fight to the selected one, and then populate the slots automatically, ready for you to hit Save.

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fm8Xv0v4HsMHwKR9FEvA4%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f804197a-27d1-4e67-8202-d7ed4286172a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
The Loot Solver does not forecast for Tome Weapon Tokens, or Tome Weapon Augments. These should be handled manually, for whoever has the tomes available to buy them or however else you wish to hand them out!
{% endhint %}

### Algorithm

* For each floor, determine how many Team Members need each possible item (excluding Tome Weapon Tokens and Upgrades)
* Generate a map between the number of items needed, and the list of Members who need that many items.
  * These lists will be sorted based on the Team's Solver Sort;
    * The default order is Melee > Phys Ranged > Caster > Tank > Healer, with Jobs that were released first coming first in ties for roles.
    * This order can be overridden in the [Team Settings](/teams/team-settings) page.
  * This map is then used to be our priority system
* Simulate kills, handing out items in descending order of priority, and handling purchases with tokens when the requisite amount is obtained, until everyone has everything they need from the fight.
  * When a Member is given an item, they are added to the end of the list for the new number of items they require
  * This is so the Solver is as fair as possible, as it discourages handing the same Member items back-to-back unless they are the only one who needs something.

### Split Clears

{% hint style="info" %}
Split Clears - The act of using alts to perform two clears in a week of one fight, to double the speed at which everyone in the Team gets geared.
{% endhint %}

This section is here to just touch on the subject. Since the number of clears for tracking tokens is based on the unique dates that History items have, I think split clearing will not fully work with the system.&#x20;

If you are a split clear group using the Solver, and it has issues, then feel free to let us know on the Discord!

## Assumptions

### Spending Tokens

Whenever you clear a fight, you receive a token. For a number of these tokens, you can buy loot to speed up gearing.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Where possible, the algorithm assumes you will buy Upgrade Tokens for Tome gear, and then will assume you buy items in the following order of possible items;\
\
Head > Body > Hands > Legs > Feet > Earrings > Necklace > Bracelet > Ring
{% endhint %}

### BIS Lists Are Up To Date

The Solver algorithm checks through the History to see what Loot was assigned, and it also checks each Member's BIS Lists to see what extra items they have BIS that weren't tracked.

This allows for Members joining halfway through a tier, pre-geared, to not break the system, but it also means that on weeks when Tokens are spendable, it handles the acquisition of Gear outside of the Loot History.

That being said, whenever Members are given Augment tokens / can buy things, the Solver expects that each Member will update their own BIS on their own.

# Manage Members

A single page for managing all Members of a Team.

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fld14OCDrsBRAnwiRtuIU%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=af215f61-4eb1-4484-8db4-1b97868c923e)

The Manage Members page provides the ability for Members, Permissions, and Proxy Characters to be maintained in a single place.

The page provides the Team Lead with the options of granting extra Permissions to certain Characters, kicking Characters from the Team, and managing any Proxy Characters the Team has.

Similarly, any other Character in the Team can also view this page to see the permissions status for other Members.

## Team Permissions

### Loot Manager

Members with this permission will have full access to the controls of the Loot Manager page, which allows them to hand out gear to Members, and track Loot drops just like the Team Leader.

### Proxy Manager

Members with this permission will have the ability to add new Proxy to the Team, as well the ability to edit or even kick existing Proxy Characters.

See [Proxy Characters](/teams/proxy-characters) for more details!

## Team Members

<img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FXNDOJanwqTO8TMgUb7WR%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=895c4700-8410-4d5f-9ab4-e827301478e8" alt="" data-size="original">

The left hand side card (on desktop) contains the details for all of the User-owned Team Members. Each are shown with the purple / blue tags that indicate the Member's permissions.

Team Leaders are also provided with two buttons for each Member, allowing them to change their permissions, or kick the Member from the Team. The Kick button in the Team Overview page has been moved to here instead to simplify the Team Overview page as much as possible.

{% hint style="info" %}
In the case where one User has multiple Characters in a Team, please be aware that they will have any permission any of their Characters have.
{% endhint %}

## Proxy Characters

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F6jDbQea26VBED7Ql7sDx%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=a5499737-d170-44aa-ab77-2d3b1005eafd)

The right hand side card (on desktop) has the controls for any Proxy Characters that the Team has.

At the top is a button allowing any User with permission to add a new Proxy Character.

Similarly, the buttons alongside the Proxies will be displayed to anyone who has the permission, allowing Members other than the Leader to control Proxy Character Membership.

For more information about Proxy Characters, please see the [Proxy Characters](/teams/proxy-characters) page.

# Proxy Characters

Characters owned by a Team instead of a User

Proxy Characters are special Characters that can be imported to specific Teams to maintain BIS data for XIV Characters whose players are not signed up to the website.

For all intents and purposes, they function almost identically to User-owned Characters, but are instead managed by any Member of a Team who has been given permission.

{% hint style="info" %}
To access the functionality for adding / editing / removing Proxy Characters, please see the [Manage Members](/teams/manage-members) page.
{% endhint %}

## Adding Proxy Characters

Clicking the "Add Proxy Character" button on the Manage Members page will take you to a page that looks like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FsCoDcjiIy1BRlYumGHxx%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=ac7ed17a-ce2f-4f2c-9763-c201b18b1064)

The BIS List form is almost the exact same as the normal one available to Characters, with some minor changes. Proxy BIS Lists cannot be given names, and all buttons related to Syncing have been removed.

To select a Character, you must provide the Lodestone link in the input at the top of the page and then press "Import". This will change the top card into something that looks like this;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FkyfBn9gZrpHYfqttcHwP%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=bd4c4d6d-cbad-461b-8693-be170f5bc33a)

Once you fill in the BIS details below, you can click on the green "Create Proxy" to submit. If you accidentally copied the wrong Lodestone URL, you can instead click the red "Change Character" button to see the input once more.

When added to the Team, Proxy Characters are displayed with the red chair AFK icon in the overview page, like so;

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2F2F2QR2cdxgc0c7fWoQ2j%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=a60d44c1-c575-4b8c-bfee-debfc3ad99b9)

Apart from that, they function identically to User-owned Characters, appearing in the Loot Manager when necessary, etc.

## Updating Proxy Characters

To update a Proxy Character, simply click the "Edit Proxy BIS" button on the Manage Members page. This will take you to a very similar looking form, without the button to "Change Character";

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FdpyzG1z2xn2S0LaTr3fs%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=990d144a-0b8b-4481-901f-2171f32a2b54)

Any additional updates to the BIS can be performed here.&#x20;

If instead you wish to use a different Character as a Proxy, you should Kick the previously created one from the Manage Members page, and then Create a new one from scratch.

## Verifying and Claiming Proxy Characters

If, at a later point in time, the owner of a Proxy Character signs up to the website, they will still be able to claim and verify the Character as their own.&#x20;

Whenever a Proxy Character is claimed, the Team Leader will receive a Notification informing them that it has occurred.

### Importing and Verifying like normal

If a User goes through the process outlined in [Importing Characters](/characters/importing-characters) to add and verify a Character that they own, then all proxies of that Character will be merged into the new verified version of the Character.

The User will immediately have access to any Teams the Character was proxied in, and will have all BIS Lists that any Teams were maintaining for them.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Each BIS List will be given the name of the Team that created it when merged into the account, so even if there are multiple lists with the same Job, it will be obvious which one is which.
{% endhint %}

### Claiming Characters via Team Join

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FbHiyQBFXKQOfbI1oT12U%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=a7ad5719-d438-4013-a21d-afd3318c0f4b)

A slight alternative to streamline the process a little is the option to attempt a claim via the [Join A Team](/teams/join-a-team) pages.

Clicking on one of the Proxy Character boxes on the right will take you to a copy of the Character for you to verify. When a Character is verified, it will merge in all Proxy versions, which means you will join the specified Team as well!

This means new Users to the site can gain control of their Character in a slightly easier way than having to handle it from outside the Team pages.

# Team Settings

A description of the Settings page for Teams, only available to the Team Leaders

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FVPjh2IgNENdal1uBuE06%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f072f34c-331e-47c9-aadb-3c75c2279135" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This page is for Team Leaders only, and allows them to update some settings about the Team.

## Invite Code

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FidQV1Sjvdmqq7tFaAUfp%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=79ab808f-ac47-41df-a195-2c0dfd1968c3)

This box provides the **invite code** and **invite link** required for other users to have their Characters join the Team. You can provide either the code in the input, or the URL linked below, to potential new Members.

### Regenerate

With the addition of the ability to kick members from the Team, the ability to regenerate invite codes has also been added.&#x20;

To ensure that kicked Characters can't return to the Team using the link you previously sent them, you (as the Team Leader) may first want to regenerate your invite code, so that when you do kick a Character, they should not be able to return to the Team.

## General Settings

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FHXYvKdZPdBsqjFPfFQSV%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b98f418d-109c-425b-a4dc-babc87fccf30" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This box contains basic settings that can be changed for a Team.

### Team Name

Similar to [Create A Team](/teams/create-a-team#team-name), max of 64 characters long.

### Tier

Here you can change the Tier the Team is currently raiding in.

### Team Lead

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please be aware that changing this setting will make you no longer the Team Leader if you change it to a Character not owned by you. Please be sure you are changing it to the right person.
{% endhint %}

You can use this dropdown to pick a new Team Leader. This can be reversed only by the newly appointed Leader.

### Save

Clicking the Save button will send the request to update the Team's settings.&#x20;

If successful, a green notification should pop up and say so. If not, any erroneous inputs will be highlighted in red and have error text displayed to indicate what went wrong.

### Disband

If you wish to disband a Team completely, you may use the red Disband button at the bottom right of the page. A confirmation dialog will pop up to ensure you are confident in the request.

Filling in the name of the Team into the box will allow you to click the Disband button on the popup, and remove the Team from the system.&#x20;

This will also send [Notifications](/notifications#team_disband) Notifications to every other Team Member to inform them.

## Solver Priority

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FE3vNldJkDrHl9IaCQAIN%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0a9c66bc-55c3-4960-8888-b28da0d10a30" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This section allows you to update the priority for Jobs in the [Loot Solver](/teams/loot-solver). The scrollable bar along the top shows a real-time display of your Team's current Solver sort order.

To change the priority for a Job, click the Add New Override button, which should generate a box that looks like this;

<figure><img src="https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FyPnn6MwtzcX1CHFIaVSC%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0c2b4161-fbaa-4204-a90c-29e17d5858df" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

From the bar along the top we can see that Paladin has moved to the first slot. As you change the Job and Position, the bar will update.

Note that you can only override each position once, and can only specifiy one override position for Job.

Once you're happy with your new priority, you can use the Save button to save your Team's data.

# Changelog

Brief overview of the Changelog button

&#x20;![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2Fv29cql2jpeTG82vjJpiT%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=9f8097b3-3ba7-409b-9bf0-d56a49f8804e)

Whenever a new version is deployed, or if you click the Changelog link at the bottom of every page, you will be able to see the Changelog modal.

![](https://1462917784-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FPYrS8mMmeDolObmXeOXl%2Fuploads%2FnVT9B0qCcdUcjjGiy1gY%2F20220412.png?alt=media\&token=3a53739c-8445-4a84-8226-466453af42fa)

This is just a way for you to be kept up to date with things that have changed with new deployments, since it won't always be obvious.

## Layout and Versioning

Going forward, Savage Aim will be versioned according to the update's release date. If multiple come out on the same day, the date will have a `.` and the release number added to the end (i.e. `20220412.2`.

The layout of the changelog is broken down into sections that describe the changes. The changes are grouped together by how significant the changes are for the system.

Any FFXIV patch changes (new gear being released) will always be marked as such, otherwise the change sections will be Major, Minor, or any other type of classification!

All roadmap details are available on the Trello board - <https://trello.com/b/elTOXk1W/savage-aim>

# Security and Data Storage

Just a brief writeup for what I'm doing for data security

## What Data Is Stored

### Discord

Though Discord is used for login, there is nothing related to your Discord authentication stored in Savage Aim. When logging in for the first time, the backend (using <https://github.com/pennersr/django-allauth>) stores the username and email address associated with the account. It is my interpretation that changing these will cause auth to create a new account.

### FFXIV

Savage Aim stores the Lodestone ID of Characters that are created in the system. When initially importing the Character, it also grabs the Avatar URL from the Lodestone which is how it displays the Character's portrait.

## How and Where Data Is Stored

Savage Aim is currently split over two separate servers. One is a front facing server running the website code. This is only accessible via the HTTP and HTTPS, and SSH connections using an SSH key are allowed so that I can deploy the new versions of the site.

The second server is completely isolated from the public network, and this is where our data is stored. This is an extra layer of protection to keep your data safe.

# API Schema

OpenAPI documentation on the whole backend API

In order to support other developers who might want to build tooling to interact with the platform, there is now an OpenAPI Schema available at <https://savageaim.com/backend/schema>

This page is created partially via automatic tooling and is partially handwritten. If there are any issues with the documentation, please let us know!
